When we moved into our home less than a year ago, I knew I wanted to put in some open shelves in the kitchen. The space between our kitchen and dining area was a perfect fit.We got the
brackets from IKEA and my hubby made the shelves and installed them! I ended up painting them
Creamy, by Shermin Williams. At first I thought it might be too white, but it was a good match and since I was done trying to figure out what color to go with our cabinets I settled on the paint we already owned. Easy. Here is the before shot:

I like how these shelves give our kitchen a little more color and variety. Next up is to decide on a back splash. I'm sure I will be showing you some ideas I have soon, but for now I'm so happy with these three little shelves.
