Holiday Ribbon Table

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We were hosting Thanksgiving at our home this year and had a great time with cousins, my Aunt and Uncle and our family. We combined two of our tables to make a long table. Long tablecloths are expensive so I looked at other options. I used a long drop cloth (painter's cloth, usually about $10-20 at Home Depot) to cover the tables and then lined the table with a turquoise and chocolate brown ribbon. I love how it turned out. This same look would be easy to use for any holiday. You could switch out different colored ribbons.

Our hutch got a Fall color scheme for the holiday too.
I even used grey ribbon on some Ikea pillow covers (such a great price 2/$5) and fabric-tac to permanently adhere them to the fabric.
I like the idea of the Thanksgiving tree. I collected some branches outside and made tags for everyone to write things they are thankful for. I think I'll still use these branches to hold ornaments for Christmas.
Now, onto the Christmas season! We get our tree up and Christmas decorations up the day after        Thanksgiving. It's starting to look merry around here. I'll be showing you soon. I'm linking this to the Best of the Nest link party- where you can see what other great projects bloggers have been doing this month.
