I'm so excited to reveal today our home office makeover and bookshelves we made from plywood. I shared a sneak peak and created a design board for my inspirations for the room, but now I can show you the whole thing.
This week I will show you how I made this no-sew Roman shade (my mother is mortified).
The full tutorial is over at the Home Depot's blog so go and check it out! You'll see a great before and after of the room. There are also many great plywood projects up on their site. All the designers and bloggers did such a wonderful job. Steve and I love how this project turned out. Have you ever made your own bookshelves? If you haven't, our tutorial will help you step by step to make your beauty.

I received a Home Depot gift card to complete the bookshelves project. The ideas and opinions I've expressed are my own.

ReplyDeleteThanks Cassie! We're so glad to have a place to put things now. I love the color too. It's called Noble Gray, Ralph Lauren. Can't wait to hang out with you this weekend!
DeleteSo beautiful. I love the grey trim and how you've styled the shelves.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aubrey! I love the dark gray trim too. It's good to get my life organized with baskets and bins- and of course you appreciate that!
DeleteTracy, you two are amazing!! This is such a great functional space for your family and just as beautiful!! I love the cute pic of you and your girls on the HD site, too. :)
ReplyDeletePam, thank you! We love this space now too and it's very functional. It's always great when a room comes together.
DeleteThey look awesome!! They remind me a lot of the newish line of bookcases at Ballard that are $$$. Hopping over to HD to check out the details!
ReplyDeleteKris you are right! The Ballard bookshelves were my inspiration. I loved the look and we decided to make a similar version without the cabinet at the bottom. Thanks for stopping by to look at the project.
DeleteLove, love, love. The inspiration piece from Ballard has always been a favorite of mine and I am so excited to see your version!!
ReplyDelete- Lora

ReplyDeleteThanks Trisha! We love them and now I feel like this space is really working well for us.
DeleteYour shelves turned out awesome Tracy! And your new office looks gorgeous! You've done it again!
ReplyDeleteOh your bookcases and the whole room came out so great!! I love the two tone and the arch on the bookcases, and the Nate Berkus fabric looks great as a roman!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa. The room has really come together. Those bookshelves are solid and not going anywhere. The inspiration was Ballard Design bookshelves that are pricey.
